I was just wondering some of the big or impressive bags weighed in over the years here on Kentucky waters. I have two on my list; one was at Nolin about three years ago...two words Beecham & Long 26lbs 6 fish limit with big one around 4.8....that means they were all about the same size wow!
Number two was a buddy I fish BFL with,Mike Sherley, he wooped some butt on the Ohio River with over 16 lbs. of fish in Madison IN when it was the Redman trail. Second place was like 8 lbs. Rediculous..
When will I get to live one of these stories....

Several years ago in the old KTC circuit Steve Moser amd Walter Owens had a 30.5lb limit. Don't remember what second weighed but it was only a few ounces over our 3rd place bag of 12lbs. What a whuppin they gave the rest of us. Of course when you fish against people like Steve&Walter, Gary&David, or the Stinsons, you must expect an occasional whuppin.
A buddy of mine had over 13lbs on the ohio river with one weighing 6 lbs, second place was only a liitle over 6 lbs with 5 fish. This isnt an amazing bag but a blow out to the other anglers.
As much as I hate Lake Malone.... there have been multiple 25 lb. sacks in tournaments held there in Feb. and early March.
Same anglers won each time.
I was in that tournament (came in third in the amateur division, 4th overall! LOL) It was an impressive bag of fish that they had.
Is it just my bad memory or did a Japanese dude win a tourney on Kentucky lake several years ago with smallmouth that shocked the bassin world because no one expected all the big smallmouth. I think he fished a suspended rogue on gravel points. Any one else remember this? I can remember him saying he used a jerk/jerk stop retrieve to trigger them.
yes plowboy thats the sane tourny Clunn had that big bag on day 1 every one in the top 5 throwing a jerkbait
Mike Terry had five on KY Lake that weighed 38-14 RedMan record when you fished against the guy in the boat with you.
Brian Crawford had five on Barkley last year that weighed 33.98 with a 8.92 big fish.
Billy and Wesley Sneed had five on Malone that weighed 28 and change last year
I had a five fish limit of 43lbs in a farm pond 8 yrs ago in Gtown,,,,
It was catfish though...LOL!!!!
Sorry fellows had to throw that in there.
Interesting post though..
