    Scaley....

Let me make sure Andrew or someone who is helpin me out with the fat free shad don't want them first.

Then let's see what I have. Are you interested in the inline spinners or the regular spinnerbaits? I don't even remember what I have left, like I said, I gave a lot of it away last year. I'll see if I can find them.

Email me at [email protected] to make sure I don't forget, and I'll let you know.

    Thanks!!

    Thanks Dave....

    Thanks Dave, you have mail.

I just want to say how much I appreciate all the help I'm getting on this. I visit other boards, not fishing in nature, and it is all fighting and back stabbing. I think this speaks to the character of fishermen.

Also I think this proves that if we get the get together thing to happen, we have a great opportunity to help one another by having some baits out for swapping around!!

    Thanks again,

    Danny

    Christmas in March!!!

OK, I went out to the garage to look on the boat for my terminator baits I have mentioned. Too darn cold to stay out there for a long time, even though it is a closed garage, cold... brrrrrrr....

But what made it like Christmas, I began looking at all the bags of "unorganized" tackle in my boat... WOW... how cool. Many of them were like buying htem for the first time again...LOL.. and I did not get to all the bags.

We have got to have a swap at the get together.

How many of us have that much tackle just sitting in our boats?? Just me?? I hope not.

RE: Baits you wish you never bought...

A well known lure maker (who shall remain nameless) once told me "10 percent of the lures catch fish. The other 90 percent catch fishermen". How true.

No every lure has to catch fishermen or they will never catch a fish. One of the most stupid thing I bought wasn't a lure ,but a fish attracter Sears sold back in the 70's TLR or something like that. It had a area to put pellets that deslove slowly, a light in it, and a beeper in it. You held on to the box that held the battiers and with a elec.cord you could drop it over the side of the boat down to 25ft. That stands right up there with the Propails Pocket Fisherman ,fishing outfit.

That's right up there with the telescoping rod you stored in your tackle box. When you got to the lake you pulled out all the lengths of rod and you had a super duty rod to fish with. Yeah right, the first cast i made three of the section flew into the lake and were gone because they cut my line as they sailed off into the sunlight with my rattle trap...

    Pocket fisherman and telescoping rods....

Hey, don't knock these things. Back when I was still on the road calling on retail outlets, I always kept hidden in my trunk a pocket fisherman, or a telescoping rod. If I happened upon a good looking creek, or even if I had to drive way out of the way to a lake, I was always able to get a cast in.

I had to wear a suit daily back then, got some real strange looks standing next to a creek or small river, casting while wearing my suit!!!

That was just a joke. Kinda like when someone asks me if I want a piece of candy and I tell them no because it gets in my mouth. I know its dry but there wasn't a lot of new stuff coming into the board @ the time and I got tired of seeing all the topics in the same order.

Charlie1, I'll bet that bait is a 'Tubby Eel'. I bought one in Tennessee Shad and have met a couple people that have one. It's become kind of a joke, belonging to the 'Tubby EEL' club. None of us have ever caught anything on it, but we've had a million laughs with 'em. :-)

Mine came with an extra snap in tail but the others I've seen are permanently mounted in th body. Big lip for deep diving and one treble hook in the belly. Mine is Tennessee Shad color, at least until I put it in with the Red Shad Slug-Go pack.
