Cold front question from the 17th

Again I would like to thank aoakley, gettingonefishin, and opie13 for their replys. I fished in the bassmaster series tourney at the big C on sunday and I couldnt catch a fish. You can check the standings and see I was either in the wrong creek or I just cant fish. I tried everything but the fnf. My boater partner did not catch anything either. There were some nice fish weighed in. One of our board regulars won on the non boater side and we should congratulate him his name is Eric Snow.

RE: Cold front question from the 17th

cumberland whips my hind end time and time again, what I can tell you is that until that water temp gets above 55 degrees that FNF and jigs will dominate every competition on that lake, I've seen it all winter for the last three winters. The only advise I can give you for this time of year on c-land is find the shad. If your not fishing around schools of baitfish then you are basically wasting your time. Fish stay close to the shad until its time to spawn so I would spend some time either on practice day or first thing in the morning looking for baitfish, its really the only way you are going to catch more than a single fish here and there. i would begin my search at the mouth of creek up to about the first 1/3 of the creek, shad=bass, hope this helps

Don't forget the alewives, they stay deeper than the shad, they are a huge part of the forage base in C-land, probably more so than shad.
