I've only fished Beshear a couple of times. 12 inch min, but it routinely takes about 20 - 25 lbs to win a tournament this time of year. The lake has a 150 hp limit, won't hinder you, but might keep some of the pressure of big wakes off you. As far as I know, there are only two ramps on the lake, and you have to pay at each of them.

So, my answer to you would be yes, a good place to fish.

My dad and I have been fishing there for a few years now. I usually have better luck on Lake Beshear than I do at Kentucky and Barkley. I only know of one ramp and they charge $3, I think. I don't know where the other ramp is that Danny's referring to.
