Anyone been to Barren this week/lately. Going tomorrow with a friend. Here the lake is clear, cold and low. Haven't fish there this time of year much. Any advice on where to start would be appreciated.

Pray for water and a warm front. Hybrid may be biting?
main lake points and channel bends next to large flats w/crankbaits (shad raps) No.7 - 9
think smaller.no.5 shad shap is money.
I've heard that 8^) I definitely don't catch the numbers a lot of guys do or fish to win tournaments......I want one or two 5-6 pounders....Barren's got a ton of them. They've also got some nasty spots and smallies. You catch a Barren smallie and you'd think it was personal....if you land one over 4 you're doing real good.
I have not been out this year yet but if there is enough water in beaver creek there are some nice small mouth not far from the ramp and some nice crappie at the point of the island across from the beach at the park. seem they have an April pattern that has been the same for the past 4 or 5 years, and you do not have to travel that far from the ramp to do well.
