Was there ever a HP limit on the lake?

There is no longer a horsepower limit on Cedar Creek. You can run any size motor ya want. This is straight from KDFWR.
Was there ever a HP limit on the lake?
Yes 150 then 175 and now none.
I think you're mistaken. I believe a limit was talked about before it was impounded, but that there hasn't been a HP limit since it became a lake.

"An unlimited horsepower regulation has been implemented at two other KDFWR-owned lakes: Guist Creek Lake in Shelby County and Cedar Creek Lake in Lincoln County. We’ve not seen any additional boating safety problems at these two lakes since implementing the unlimited horsepower regulation."
Exactly, that article is a year old and I believe there has never been a limit since the lake was impounded.
I Have never been to this lake. What kind of structure does the lake primarely have? How far of a drive is it from E-town. I would like to know a little more about the lake.
Everyone, two points.
1. Please slow down out there. Just because you can do 65, doesn't mean you have to. That lake's not big enough to fly WOT.
2. Watch for people fishing and don't be a jerk. Slow your boat to idle speed when passing someone who has a line in the water.
...I don't want to see a post on here about a boating accident at CC due to ignorance.
All I can say is I have a KDFWR Publication here in front of me and it reads as follows under Water Safety and Boating regulations for Cedar Creek Lake, Boaters shall not operate a monohull boat with a centerline length exceeding 30 feet. Boaters shall also not operate a boat motor larger than 150 horsepower. That is why I made the comment it is in black and white and I usually dont go against what I see published by KDFWR.
How old is it?

In the 03 guide it says "new this year: Cedar Creek Lake (Lincoln County): No motor size restrictions."
When did Cedar Creek open up?
