Barren, no question.

Heading down to either Barren or Green for some Bassin' this Saturday (April 8th). Curious to see what anyone who fishes these lakes would say has a better bite this early and what pattern is working for all of you "pros" out there. It looks like a front is passing through with rain on Thur, Fri, and Sat.
Thanks in advance for any help...
Barren, no question.
I am pretty sure you will get a unaminous answer of Barren---great early spring lake.
Barren, any time of the year.
Any special color or lure that works best this time of year! Planning on spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, & cranks. Is it too early for the topwater bite?
Thanks for any help!
BARREN
Barren is a tough jerkbait lake unless you find some clearer water. I've caught them on stop n go large crankbaits and oversized jerkbaits in a clown color. However, I don't think the color had much to do with that success.
I like anything chart. and white or chart and black at Barren. Purple has always treated me right as well. It's a pretty stained lake.
You can bet if the water is 60 this weekend I will be throwing a buzz bait.
