What would you do?
Purchased my current boat new in 2003 and within 3 months the starting battery (Walmart) went dead. Took it back to Walmart and along with the smiles and apologies, received a new battery that went dead on me Sat while fishing. Did not get stranded, just used my TM batteries to supply starting power and made it back to ramp without any trouble. Question is, would You take it back to Walmart for a new battery (hopefully free) that will probably go dead in less than 2 years OR purchase a different brand.

RE: What would you do?
Just something to look at. A friend of mine had the same problem last year. It wasn't the batteries, he had a short in a wire goin to the power trim and was draining the battery. A little test is, with the key turned off pull the hot side cable off and touch it to the post, if it arcs at all ya got a short somewhere. Just trying to help.

Gettingone's right, leave your TM batt hooked up and see if goes dead too. I've had good luck with everstart batts.

Do you think you could get your money back... then use that to purchase a different brand battery? Just another option. Not a lot that I've ever bought from Wal Mart has been real good quality. Just my experience...

Bring in your battery to the automotive department and go pick out a new one of a different brand of your choice and bring it to the counter. There should be no problem at all. This is from personal experience. They may not treat their employess very well, but the customer is a different situation all together. They want your money and an unhappy customer is not likely to spend more money at their store.
