Coming down the week after Easter, was wondering if the water will be in the flowers by then. Also was wondering what stage you guys think the fish will be in.
Just got back from Little River area and the yellow flowers are up and the water is in the flowers. The bass are in 4 to 6' of water just in front of the flowers. Also on secondary points that contain large rocks (boulders) under water. Brush hogs & lizards in watermelon seems to produce the best. 2 day club tourney Sat & Sunday. Winner (not a buddy tourney) had 38+ pounds and big fish was 5.77 #. Many 6 fish limits. No spots weighed as they have to be same size as largemouth per club rules. Water temps 59 to 62.
Lee if big fish was 5.77 lbs it would take more than six of them to be 38 lbs. I don't understand. Was this a buddy tournament where more than 6 were weighed per team?
It was a club tournament where each fishermen counts his own fish and they are allowed a 6 fish limit. The winner did not have the 5.77, but he did have 1 good limit each day, Sat. and Sunday. Heard 2nd was around 23 lbs and third was 21 lbs.
Ok, that explains it.
The Two day weight was 38lbs not one days weight.
