Rodney: I see what you mean...never thought about that. I will keep that in mind when I contact Carlet. I really would like to have young folks in my boat that do not have a boat and don't get a chance to go out as much as the others...heck even some kid that has never done much bass fishing would be even better.

We won't let anybody take advantage of you Dave. The KBF also has a Jr. tournament down there on June 10 if anyone is interested. Dave I think you will really like this.

I am sure I will enjoy spending the day with the kids in my boat. I am very fortunate that since I do a lot of different type trips that I get to meet a lot of different folks in all phases of bass fishing from the novice to the top pro circuit folks. I can honestly say that my favorite trips are those that I get to take out young folks and work with them to improve their bass fishing. I have been fortunate enough to have already had a number of dads and sons over the school spring breaks this year and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the trips. Is the KBF Junior tournament set up the same way..that is do they need volunteers to take the kids out? Let me know asap.

I think he will too. I have been involved since day one of the kids clubs and qualifiers. for the most part the kids are awesome. we have a local bussiness owner that has some stocked ponds we take our kids club too and they have a ball.
there are some parents that would do most anything to give thier kids an edge.
In the very first qualifier I watched a parent reel in a fish and the kid weighed it. things were a little fuzzy that first time but we have came a long way.
I took a young lady out 2 weeks ago withg my daughter that had never been bassin . I had to teach her how to use the reel and all. she landed 3 that evening and smiled all the way home
