UK tourney(Big Thanks)

We had our first ESPN qualifier yesterday on Barren, tough fishing once the sun got high, big fish missing in action for the most part. A huge thanks to Bill Everly, David Page, Ed Davis, and Joe Blades for providing boats for some of our members, it wouldnt have been possible without them. Results

Fish we really biting in the dirty water on shady bluff walls first thing but once the sun got high that was dead along with just about anything else, I did lose a real nice fish in walnut creek but it was like a congo line trying to go down the bank in there LOL. Hey Kyle, glad the tourney went well. Have you talked to your members about this Bluegrass Booyah Tournament? I think this can definately go somewhere. Be sure to email me some dates and lakes you all are thinking about and I will do the same. I know we have BFL LBL, and Hoosier, plus a club tourney on 6/10 and ABA's...so you figure some dates out and I'll let you know what we can work with here. Disregard the trash talking...Let's just fish and have a little competition..then throw in some braggin' rights. We could also do what the Big TEN does with the minnow bucket trophy. So let's get it rollin', I am pumped. If anything we need to just hook up and do some fishin'. -Tight Lines man

nothing wrong with a little friendly banter, just ready to see who deserves to talk it ;). As far as dates, we are really pretty flexible, most of us are done with CAST, we have one of our boaters that is in the moutain BFL so if we can just shedule around that, most any other date will work. I say 2nd or third weekend in may. I sent troy heckaman all my contact info, and am awaiting a call. The rest of the guys in the club are pumped about it so.....LETS GET IT ON

I'm sure I can speak for the rest of us that participated yesterday, I had a blast. I appreciate the chance to help out my Big Blue Nation. Now you all better go and kick some butt. As I said yesterday, if you all want to do this again just give a ring and i'll be there. If the tourney you all are going to is going to be on TV post some dates if you can find them out so we can all watch UK show we roll in KY lol.

You guys should get EKU's bass team in your competition if your planning on going head to head. Several of EKU's members finished in the top ten of the BFL on both the boater and non-boater side at Dale last weekend. I would say that Eastern's BASS team is a strong as any in the nation!!! I only wish we had this going on when I was in school!!! Good luck to all of you guys this year. I wish you all the best in your tournaments and hope to see guys from Eastern, UK, and Louisville fishing on ESPN.
