LAST EDITED ON Apr-15-06 AT 11:22AM (EST)[p]Fished lower end. Water temps 58-61 in a creek we tried. Shad in around midnight and 1st striper around 1. The two boats ended up with 7 stripers(largest 28 inches) and two walleyes(largest a fat 6lbs 5 oz that had 12 shad in its stomach). Baits ranged from slivers to Bombers to jointed redfins. Best bite seemed to be subsurface on dark banks. Lost 6 other stripers and several walleye gave us the "seeya later" routine. Definetely walleyes were more active than the stripers.
