blood river

IM by myself and thinking of heading out toward Paduca Ky. Mon or tues to crappie fish on or near blood River, for a few days anyone have an idea on where i should call for a place to stay close to blood river, never fished there b4 but fished both barkley and Ky lake, anyone going that way and has some crappie places to share give me a shout, [email protected], retired police officer

Word of mouth advertising is a powerful tool. Dave, all the positive advertising you get on this board is absolutely great but word of mouth advertising works equally in reverse when folks aren't treated as the deserve when they spend their hard earned money.
I have never read a negative comment about you and that is a tribute to great service, but the other folks deserve the comments that were posted on this board.

If you want to repost your comments with the required information I have no problem with your doing so....that includes any derogatory comments about any business including mine. I am well aware of "word of mouth" advertising...obviously it helps all businesses including mine. It also can work in reverse...that is why your contact information is required whenever you make a post that is derogatory in nature to an individual or business.

There are two reasons for the requirement:

1. Without your contact information there is no way that we can verify that you are not just a competing business trying to undermine your competitor.
2. If you make slanderous remarks without putting your name and contact information on the post, then this website can be held responsible for the content and not you.

Just for your information:
I agreed with your assessment of the owner of Ky Beach Resort...I am just doing what is asked of me by the owner of this site and that is enforce the rules.

I must say, the comments were enough to change my plans, or should i say not chose the place i was thankful for the info they passed along, hope your not upset that your users used this forum to help in there fishing and accomodation recomendation

The bite has been slower the past two days with the cold fronts and the TVA decided to pull the water down some just to make it interesting...had 24 bass yesterday and 15 today but had been doing around 50 or 60 a day...it will be back as soon as it settles down. They should bring the water back up pretty soon and it will be a good bite once again.
We did not get any bad storms this morning...just a little lightning and some rain...the really bad stuff went north of us.

Your right, the people at Irvin Cobb aregreat. They helped me find a room to stay at and even offered to rent me a small room that they normally don't rent out. The charged $5 for the launch fee which is pretty typical. They had a great fish cleaning station and even have plenty of slips to keep your boat in if you want. The owners actually live above the bait shop so they keep a pretty good eye on stuff.

As far as how far up the Blood River you can go, I have no clue. I never needed to go up far. I found most of our black crappie in 10 foot of water on flat gravel beds. It was really hard to find. I glassed the area and noticed about 100 boats stacked ontop of each other. I fgured that was a good starting point for me. I will warn, I have seen boats stacked like before and no one was catching anything but on the Blood River, the stacked boats usually means crappie are near.
