Dale Hollow Upcoming Weekend Info?

Hello. Myself and about 13 guys will be coming down from kentucky to fish dale for smallies April 20-23. We will be fishing the Tennessee side around the dam. My question is that with the spawn already happening what should we expect that weekend? Should it be tough fishin or what. i thought about targeting the main lake flats with weeds on them with a spinnerbait or should i try something else? I am not asking for your secret spots or anything, just asking on what my outlook should be. Thanks for the information and i will let ya know if we did any good!!! Thanks!!!

I will be down there at the same time.
From my past experiance when they spawn for a week or so after fishing will be slowwwwwwwwww!
But, with work I fish when I can, like most of us.
I think I will start in the creeks and work my way out.
Sometimes you can catch the smaller Bucks in the shale banks.
Not the size I like, but still fun.
If anybody has any suggestions, please help us out.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

We fished the 14th through the 16th and found several smallies staging just off of the flats in grass. Most fish were caught on 5" grubs. Also caught some nice largemouths shallow in the smaller willows.

I too am going on a trip to Dale Hollow the 22-24th with some guys from church. We are starting at Hendricks Creek but will probably fish the Tn water.

This is my first big fishing trip and I'm really excited...which means I won't catch a darn thing:)

If any one could help me with some advise on what to use or what to look for...I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey wishin,
I will be at Hendricks that weekend also. Might see you there.
I am hearing they are on the nest, wich means slow!
I will be starting with tubes and lizards, on the bottom, and slowwwwwww!
