Had my annual fishing trip this past week. Went down on Wed afternoon and left on Sunday. Weather was great. High 70's to 80's in the day and mid 60's at night. Here are the results and some information that might help some of you.
Large Mouth were biting on the upper end of lake in dirty water. Caught most of them on x-rap (wht) jerk baits right off of main chanel and on the sandy areas. Caught one on a black spinner with black split trailer on a point. And caught one with a 6" lizard with chartruse tail.
Small mouth were bighting in clear water creek ends with water temps in the mid 60's. Usually around rock ledges with deep drop offs. Same x-rap.
Spots were found on rock ledges right before the trees at the back of creeks. Not a lot of action but fun. Same x-rap.
Walleye.....What a fish....Blk/Red spinners, White spinners both with a single colorado blade, 1/2 oz. Caught on secondary points about 25' deep. Slow rolling a spinner bait...REAL SLOWWWWW.
Hope this helps some of you with your trips, let me know how you do.
