I would like to know who has caught the biggest fish so far this year. I have just had one over 5lbs. not much to brag about but it was fun. let's see which lake is producing the best this year. My 5lber came out of rough.

Nine smallmouth, seven were over 20 inches. Dale Hollow.
7.5 taylorsville.
hey anybody know the ratio to estimate weight???length-girth...I had a fish a couple weeks ago on KY that measured 25 and a half long and was 20 inches in girth...dead battery in the digital scale..this fish was HUGE ...oh and I did release her
Steve the formula for estimating weight by measurements is
Length x Length x Girth Divided by 1200. With your measurements your fish was 10.8lbs. And were did you say you caught her? LOL
Good job man.

thanks alot guys the fish was a beauty I was guessing around 10 , the biggest i've ever seen
I caught one this year that measured 23" long and had an 18" girth. She weighed almost exactly 8 lbs. 8 oz.
You had one heck of a fish there. I don't know how big but bigger than mine! I bet that was a 10 pound fish.
18.5lb 40" muskie at Green on a #7 shadrap using a 6.5' spinning rod and 10lb test.
6.25 pound LM .... on Clarks Hill (South Carolina side)
Caught it on a Fluke on 8 pound line and my light creek fishin rig. After catching a half-dozen 12-13 inchers, this one was a complete shock. (but a very pleasant one)
CC
5 pound LM on Wiggle Wart Crankbait
5.8 LM on Storm Lightning Shad Crankbait
6.12 LM on jerkbait
Have been with partners this yr who've caught 5, 5.8, 6 and 6.5 LM.
Good year so far!
