UL & UK Tournament (Attn: Buzzking)

Hey Kyle, last night we voted on a date for this Bluegrass Booyah Tournament and we decided on 6/25. So let me know if that is alright so we can start deciding upon how many members to send, what schools in Ky are going to compete, rules, sponsors, coverage, etc. Have a good one,

RE: UL & UK Tournament (Attn: Buzzking)

I guarantee some guys from Murray will be interested, but I can't promise a lot of people. I should be available and will be there, but a lot of the other guys are scattered all around the region. I'll throw the idea around and see who can make it.

"UK talkin a lot of trash"

Anyone read the article from the Courier Journal that said Murray State fielded some of the best college anglers in the state, and that UK was talkin a lot of trash. Anyone that has been on these boards knows who has been talkin all the trash and who hasnt. The last post I recall, Scott was shootin off his mouth and Buzzking is the one who said let the fish do the talking. Sayin all that stuff on here is one thing, but misquoting it in the paper is another. You wanna put your big article in the paper, then get the facts right. And by the way the UK team has actually fished against other schools and won big time. Over spring break on Falls Lake NC, UK defeated NC State, South Carolina, EKU, Liberty, and Clemson by a large margin. If you check it even closer you will see that the UK team went to Falls and outperformed many locals and an FLW Tour pro who lives on the lake as well. So keep on runnin your mouths and we well see who backs it up in the end. You may have made us look like buttholes (to put it nicely) in the paper, but we will see who does the walk of shame come tourney day. You want a rivalry, you found one. Bring it on any time, any place and we will send you back to the 'Ville with your tail between your legs!!!

RE: "UK talkin a lot of trash"

On the Article, that quote was definately taken out of context. Either it was misinterpreted or??? Not sure. But I apologize for that, I do know where you are coming from. We all are collegiate anglers which love bass fishing which is pretty cool! But don't let that comment overshine the big picture here. I think some things got turned around and misrepresented, but the team itself did not have a part in that. You know how sometimes media can make things interesting right? So let it be known, and the fish will do the talking once tournament time comes around.

On to other news,Kyle right now I am swamped with this fundraiser, but I will get a hold of you next week. Do you know anyone personally from EKU,Murray, or WKU teams? If so give them a heads up, and 6/25 will be the date if that is alright. Now a lake will have to be chosen on "neutral ground" so we will have to decide upon that soon. I still beleive we should do two teams of 2, can you get one of your sponsors or boaters who help out to donate their boat? I know we have had 3 of our boaters who have said we could use their boat at Smash-Mouth so check that out. Alright man, have a good one, no hard feeling hopefully, and let's get this rivalry going!! We'll be able to look back at it and say we started this thing, that will be pretty cool.

EJ, what a great opportunity you have.....

Opportunity is knocking for you EJ. You now have the ability to demonstrate something that no one anywhere thinks exixts.

You have said that some of your boaters have volunteered the use of their boat, and the UK team is a boat short for the upcoming tourney with you guys... you could let them use one of your boats... of course only if you don't handicap them with a bum boat... LOL.. or a small motor, small boat, etc... LOL

So, what are you showing? Great fellowship between UK and UL students can exist.

Please though, make sure to post the weigh in information, who knows you may get a bunch of us old guys down to watch the weigh in.

Good luck guys, I am thinking this will be a really great thing.

This is an in-state rivalry?? Im confused, I thought Louisville was in Indiana! This isn't fair anyways, you all get to sharpen up your skills on your home waters of the lunker laiden Ohio River(not doggin the river, bass run a lil' skinny there though)!! Just jokin' fellas, can't wait to get together and wet a line, should be a good time. Some serious braggin rights at stake!

    WHAT ABOUT ALUMNI

What about including some alumni? This could make the tournament grow a lot. I am a WKU alumni. Havent heard any bragging from the WKU fishermen yet. Let me know if you expand it to alumni. I have an old fishin buddy from school that would love to join me for some fun.
