Rough River Hybrid

Has anyone been catching any hybrid at Rough River? I am going down there Friday. Any help would be appreciated. Planned on pulling shiners behind boards.

caught 2 20 inchers sat evening before the rain hit. rattletraps in 20 feet over mud. stop and go retrieve.

Went Friday and caught about 6 or 7 hybrids in the 14 inch range on shad colored rapala shad raps and pulling shad behind boards with no weights. Found the hybrids in the mouths of the creek and even a few in the back. Found the baitfish and the hybrids weren't far behind.

We also landed several large mouth fishing large flats that dropped into the creek channel also using shad raps. Parking close the the bank and casting out past the drops and then reeling it back to the boat. There was an abundance of shad in the creek we were fishing and everything seemed to be feeding on them.

Last week before the cold front, I boated fourteen in the 3-5lb class and lost maybe six more at the boat. I found them in the back of bays schooling shad. I have been twice since then and can't seem to find them. I would imaging using boards on the main lake might work but I would check out the bays early and late. Caught the majority of them on a spinnerbait, but also a few on crankbaits and rooster tails using a stop and go pattern. They hit it every time on the drop. Good luck!
