Wilgreen

Went to Wilgreen lastnight (Tuesday) as the rain came through. At first it was pleasant then the second wave came through bringing in the cold with it. We fished about 3 1/2 hours...4 bass...1 16 inches..1 12 inches...2 short. We also caught 6 crappie and 1 bluegill. Really not be bad for the weather and time of day on Wilgreen.

Bass caught with jigs. Crappie with minnows about 3-4 depth.

First time sight...carp working the topwater after small bluegill and minnows. They had the water churning.

What size jigs were You using? How were the bites too, were they heavy or were they tap tap tap info appreciated!

I personally like the 1/8 oz jig on Wilgreen. The bit was not heavy...it was a tap tap...exactly as you described. Really strange actually fish caught fairly close to the boat. Bite very similar to a bluegill bite..but they held on for the hook set.

Do you fish Wilgreen alot?
