I deleted the post that listed the names, and I locked the thread. To be honest, I am not sure who, well, I was not sure who had made the post that listed names, but no contact information was included in the post. I had asked that the line not be crossed, and it was. I will do what has been asked of me in regard to the rules.

I agree that we need to know about stuff like this, but it needs to be substantiated information, and it needs to follow the rules of the board.

I've contacted a newspaper down in that area asking for any confirmation they can give. I know Jim has contacts at the KDFW, and perhaps he too can get additional information. If I get a reply from the newspaper, or if they post a story, I personally will post the link, or their reply.

We can not allow the posting of names of cheaters until some form of verification can be achieved. That consists of my recieving a copy of the charges or ticket, and either an indictment or a guilty plea.
UNTIL that happens they are innocent until proven guilty.
Beyond that are problems with the law, and other legal things we wish to avoid.
If we get sued there will be no Fishin.com

I emailed you a couple of emails from my [email protected] address. I was hoping you got them. If not, please let me know.

The main thing is that the emails are in reply to the gentleman who posted the information originally, and he has the name of the officer involved. I know you have contacts at KDFW already, so you might have an in to get to the truth.

I really get the feeling the guy is not wanting to cause any trouble or anything. He just wants to share what he knows, and I understand the precautions that must be taken, and I believe he understands them too.

Basically I would rather not deal with the cheating issue due to the legal problems it brings with it. Lets talk fishing and let the courts and the papers deal with these guys. I am sure they will be dealt with harshly.
