I don't see what the problem is with stating the fact that: "John Doe was arrested on allegations that he cheated in a tournament, Fish and Wild life Authorites allege that he........" You don't have to have a conviction to print what someone is alleged to have done as long as it is clear that allegations are just that until proven. And in fairness, if the allegations turn out to be untrue or unproven, that ought to be stated as well. I agree with Billy that there is some over-reacting here, particularly in a situation where it appears multiple people saw certain individuals taken into custody. Identity of tournament cheating is certanly relevant to many of those on this board, and discussion on here is a good deterrent for those who might consider trying to cheat.
I agree with you that absent any other evidence of mis-conduct, we don't need to be speculating about someone who is having a good run on this forum, but in this case, it seems actual arrests were made, and that should be fair game as long as we acknowledge their innocence until proven guilty.
