My Garmin 240 will not come on....I have verified that I have power going in and have had the plugin on and off several times trying to make better contact....any ideas ?? Thanks

05/04/06..... :>) ......I contacted Garmin and have sent unit to them for repair or replacement. If repaired, updated electronics will be added, if replaced, a new unit will be shipped with update

Dont sound good? I Have 2 and realy like em.Mine would not show depth it was a bad transducer!

sounds like the unit's switch is bad. You are lucky that Garmin still makes it. Box it up, call for a return authorization, and send it back. They may or may not charge you to fix it, and they will update the software also....good luck

Had the same problem with mine. I replaced it with a lowrance X67C and I love it.
