Cumberland Smallmouth

Has anyone been catching many smallmouth on Cumberland lately? If so how are you fishing for them? I plan on fishing this weekend may 19-21. any help would be apreciated...

I fished this past weekend in the south central tournament out of conley bottom and we caught alot of nice fish and we got second place we had alittle over 10 lbs. we got second but, we got beat by some great smallmouth fisherman they had five go over 17 lbs. i have no clue where they caught them but they always fish the lower end down around boys camp area. we caught several fish tho we was culling 2 lb kentuckys. we caught all of ours flippin in the creeks we actually seen some on the beds cant believe it but we did get them off the nest tho after we bugged them to death. anyways fish are biting in some areas

The fish where caught on a Cumberland Pro Lures procaster jig. Cumberland Craw color with a Sweet Mama trailer. Lower end around Beaver Creek.

to bad all the day time tournaments is over around here on cumberland but night tournaments is starting up around here and them boys can still catch them smallmouth at night also trust me they bring some nice cumberland smallmouth in bout everytime they fish. I think there some of the best smallmouth fisherman we have around here. i always look forward too see what they bring to the scales.

If second place took only 10 lbs I would still consider that tough fishing for the average angler. I'm waiting for some stable weather before I waste any gas running around on the big C.

From what I hear fishing is not that great right now. Probably a mix of weather and the lake water level. I won't be going to things stabilize. If the FLW has trouble with finding and catching consistant stringers then I have no business out there. Tough right now.
