This info is "dated" ... but, the last time I went :
Bass .... night fishing - timbered banks - 4" Gene Larew saltcraw
Bass .... daylight to mid-morning - timbered banks - topwater along shaded shorelines w/timber
Crappie .... 1/16oz weedless jighead with blu/char - blk/char - red/char tubes ... blowdowns and standing timber in 5-15ft of water ... shaded banks/early AM hours til midday (or until shade disappeared from over the cover, or boat traffic got too heavy)
Hotspots ?? Taylorsville isn't that big, just look for "fishy lookin places". Start shallow in the wee hours of the day, and work your way deeper as the Sun rises. Acknowledge other anglers "space", when they are fishing an area, and give them a wide berth as you pass by them (or follow them down a bank). Show them that you respect them & their "space", and they will usually return the favor. Talk to them in a neighborly/friendly way, when passing, and they may even give you some hints/tips on what they're having success with. ....... luck2ya .... cp
