What is all the hype about with the FLW? What lake is it on? etc..
FLW was on Kentucky Lake this last weekend. Lots of local interest here.
The FLW Tournament was awesome! It all came down to a matter of a dead fish. Terry Bolton had a fish die. Had Terry Bolton's fish stayed alive, he would have won. However, Steve Kennedy managed to edge out Bolton with his final day MONSTEROUS stringer! It was an awesome weigh in! All ten guys had a limit.
Kennedy caught his fish hopping and crawling a 1/2 oz. football head jig down humps in the main lake. He'd cast the jig on top of the hump in 8-10 ft of water, and then crawl it down the slope to about 22 ft of water. He had both largemouth and smallmouth bass.
All the events surrounding the FLW event was a blast! Ranger and E-Tec had a test drive event at Ky Dam Marina that was great! I got to drive a Z-20 and a Z-21, both equipped with an E-Tec 225. I must say that I am in love the Z-21 and the E-Tec!!! The Family Fun Zone was fun as well! I got to meet so many pros! I talked with Art Berry, Scott Martin, Karen Savic, and so many more!!! If you've never had to the chance to rub elbows with the pros, there's no better place to do so than at an FLW Event!!!
I think from what I hear that the FLW is treating its anglers better than BASS so many are switching. It seems to be better for Kentucky which Bass seems to skip over most of the time.
bass weekender series will be coming to lake cumberland in june and bass elite series will be on kentucky lake later this year. flw has raised the stakes - more money being paid out and i beleive the competition is good for ALL anglers (both tours). i am a member of bass and will continue to do so, because it is not just about the money for non tourney guys like myself.

No the weekend series was on cumberland in March
But they really messed that Division up by going to the Ohio river next two events. ( my opinion)
I think that alot of the anglers left due to the major sponsors that came on board with bass . Mainly alcohol sponsors and the way Bass reacted to some of their concerns.

A FLW event is great. If you have a kid I suggest you take them, the pros and sponsors of FLW treat your kid like a king. My son set in a stratos boat with Larry Nixon for 30 min and pretended to fish. Larry Nixon did not know my son at all but took the time to have some fun with him. I tried to get all the free stuff like Hats, shirts, etc. I got very little but my son got everything. Again, great event to take a kid.
I have fished the BFL'S for the past 5 years, extremely well run circuits and a nice family like atmosphere at all the tournaments...good bunch of people..plus its headquaters are based right on KY/Barkley lakes
when is the flw from cumberland going to be on T.V.?????
