We went out Thurs 5-11. The wind was horrible and we did not spot many shad or blow ups. We threw mostly red fins, slivers, striper stike, and occasional buck tails. Results 0 fish. It was a disappointing night. Friday 5-12 the conditions were much better. We started spoting shad and blow ups around 12:30am-4:30 off the main channel of Caney Fork (dark side of the bank). We landed 1 short fish and 1 keeper off a point around 2:30 on a silver and black red fin. Saturday 5-13 we decided to go to the main lake. We saw shad and blow ups starting around 11:00 off main lake channel points going in to shallower water. Activity was high. This time all the shad and blow ups were in the moonlight. Threw mostly red fins and sliver resulting in 2 nice strikes(red fin) but 0 fish. We heard some animal making some horrible screaming sounds in the woods. Does anyone know what that was? Around 2:00 we went back to our Caney Fork spot and did not hear much of anything. Thank you for all the feedback I recieved before the trip.
Brian
