I use berkley 20lb Vanish Transition. It has great feel and less strech for better hookups. Just don't tie a palomar knot or the line will break. Just my 2 cents. Justin Hires

LAST EDITED ON May-16-06 AT 03:20PM (EST)[p]hey you got a knot suggestion..cause I have been breaking that stuff like crazy and can't figure out why...like the way it(transition) fishes but I broke off 2 fish I know were close to 5 lbs a couple weeks back and also broke several times on hookset thanks
Make sure you WET the knot before tightening it down....That should eliminate the problem.
I always heard P-line and Berkley Big Game for flipping.
FWIW, I prefer berkley big game. However, if you are going to use the Berkley Transition or probably any other fluorocarbon based on my experience then you should probably not use a palomar knot but a trilene knot. Be sure not to burn the fluorocarbon when working it down or it will break. Hope this helps.
