Our club is having our fish with a kid day and could anyone that has been there give us a helping hand on what they are catching bass on.We haven't been there this year but any help would be appreciated!!!!

haven't been on the lake in 10 days or so. lot of cold rain and unsettled weather. however, this has brought the lake level up {not summer pool yet}, and the docks are floating, so that provides some cover. at present the water is clear to slightly colored depending on where you go. the colored water always works best for me. last time i was out i caught bass on 3-4in. curly tails, white, yellow, and chartreuse up against banks and in 9-15 ft in channels. however i was actually fishing for hybrids, the bass were there as well. caught a few on the surface early and late, again fishing for hybrids. as you know the bass can be difficult. if the kids get anxious or bored might try for a hybrid. good way to accidentally catch ol bucketmouth. good luck. taking the young uns out is great. so glad my dad did it with me.
