Anybody have any good recommendations for a resonably priced fly in fishing trip in canada for smallmouth and walleye?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just got back in town tonight from opening week. This was my 19th trip using Wilderness Air outside of Dryden, Ontario. In all of the years I have been going this is the warmest weather we have had. Three days in the lower 80's. Walleye and smallie bite were excellent.

I 2nd Nestor falls fly-in and I have and would reccomend flying into Kishkutena for the smallmouth for the day. They also have a cabin on the lake to stay. We typically fish LOTW/Crow lakes for bass. good luck.
I really appreciate all the responses I have gotten. Doing alot of research on these places. Any and all suggestion are appreciated and will be researched. When I think I have covered about all of the Lakes in Ontario Canada I get a bunch more to check out. By the time it's all said and done I should be an expert. LOL
Thanks to All!!
I cant help but would sure like to go!!!
Go to Quetico. Float plane trips will cost you about $750/person for four people and gear....IF you already have your own gear.....that is IF you only need partial outfitting. We've looking into doing these to reduce the paddle in time and increase the fishing time to some of the more remote areas.
Fly-in trips to cabins and lodges are quite a bit more pricey....maybe $2500 and up. It really depends on the level of services you need and the amount of competition in the area. If you check out Ely, MN, you'll notice a ton of outfitters and relating accomodations.
I leave Friday so you know I'm stoked....we are shooting for around 1000 smallies this year between two guys. I'm worried about my thumbs.

Green Island is a Fly in and Bear lake is a boat in and a bit closer to KEntucky than Green Island by about 7 hours driving and a few hours shorter flying since you have to fly into Duluth and then into International Falls.
Bear Lake is on the edge of a Wilderness area and has leases on lakes and ponds in the wilderness area.. Walk in only lakes. Some seldom see fishermen. Big Black Bear Population and you can also hunt bear here in season. High Percentage of success at this resort. It is owned by a Kentuckian Bill Drane retired Colonel from the US Military. http://www.blwc.com
He runs a top notch place. http://www.1fghp.com/on.html to see links of both places...
Green Island is where Fishin.com staff has gone in the past. The lake is Fly In only. Comes with a cabin and a boat with gasoline for 3 or 4 days. Absolutely GREAT smallmouth, pike and occasional walleye, but the real treat here is that there are RECORDED World Record Muskie swimming in the lake. Regular catches of muskie over 45 inches come from this lake.
Then there is the Terrific LAKE Trout fishing. I highly recommend taking some gulp twister tails for this..with simple jigs.

Man that sounds awesome guy, report back when you get back and tell us how you did, I have got to do this, it sounds amazing. Tightlines and goodluck, Mark.
Three years ago, BassMan30 and I pulled up on a spot on a lake called Saganagons.....We ended up catching nearly 100 fish that day. Lots of fish on a jig, and over 50 3lb smallies.......The majority of the other fish were 2 or 2.5.....
Then the year later, a buddy from work and I caught 37 smallies in 1 cove on the same bank in 4 hours...........7 were over 4lbs. MONSTERS.
If you have never been to Quetico, or the Boundary Waters, you are MISSING the best smallmouth fishing in the WORLD.

Nestor Falls Fly In Outpost. went last year for first time and loaded the boats with small mouth and musky. dropped off on our own lake on mon. and didn't see anyone again until plane picked us up on sat. Best trip of my life. think it was nestorfalls.com hope this helps
I do a boat-in trip to a camp called Ashrapids on Lake of the Woods. You can google Ashrapids and find their web-site for prices, etc. I have been there for the last 5 years and it has been great. There seems to always be groups from KY there.
