    RE: Kentucky Lake

The best advice is to read Dave Stewarts report on this site. He usually posts it on Wed night I think. I have a permanent campsite just south of Moors and was there this past weekend.Bass were kinda slow until Sunday but did manage a few off points on crank baits (craw color) and a few shallow on a white spinnerbait. Be careful when running the main lake. The slightest wind really churns the lake up and it gets rough this time of year. Good Luck to you !

    Dave posts on Thursdays

Also ask slopfishin.. he's been doing really good. Of course he won't tell me where just that he is doing good...LOL

Sorry Kyle... your killing me with all the great fishing you have going on.

I forgot when you said you were coming down, but I hope to get down to the lakes later this week. I'll post how I do.

    Eaaaasssyy There Danny

You're talking me up pretty big lately. LOL

I guess it's my own fault. I've been telling you about all these good days I've been having on the lake. One thing you need to remember, though, is that a good day for me is about 15-20 fish. That's an average day for Dave or some of the other local fellas. Thanks for the compliment, anyway. LOL

    Kyle....

You're being too modest. Those guys fish all day, and you normally only fish for half days.

You are a pretty good fisherman, just won't "share" your hot spots with me...LOL

I think I need to accompany you and Dave on the water to negotiate a peace between the two of you...LOL

    RE: Kentucky Lake

I just got back from a 3 day trip to KY Lake yesterday and we stayed in virtually the same area. What a great trip it was. Almost all the bass we caught, including a 7 pound largemouth my uncle caught, came from the backs of bays and coves where there was grass in 3-4 feet of water off of buzzbaits. Highrider double bladed buzzbaits in chartruese. My uncle caught a 7 pound largemouth out of the back of Malcom Creek (just down Bear Creek from Moors) off that bait around submerged grass and wood. It was even caught at the crack of noon! Another good bag of fish was taken off the same lure in the very back of Duncan Bay (across the main lake and south) fishin the exact same type of cover. If you're staying at Moor's, you might want to try fishing the cove right behind the campground (take a right out of the marina and just follow the close shore all the way back). There was a 4-5 pounder hooked there off the same bait as the 7 pounder that got off at the boat. Good luck, let us know how you do.
