    Wood Creek walleye

From what I have been told the native strain walleye,i assume, from the rockcastle river were stocked in the lake. Just wondered if anyone happened to catch a little one by accident fishing for other fish. It would be a good thing if they can do well in that lake.

Just wondering if anyone knows if that actually happened,it might be good if it did. And if it did does anyone know what the plans are to continue the stocking program for the future? Or was it a onetime deal to let the native walleye fail?I do not want that because I still think they would do better in Cumberland where they are native. But then again I am just a nut.

    RE: Wood Creek walleye

From what I hear the walleye are doing well in woodscreek. I personally have not caught any down there but know several folks who catch several while crappie fishing. I talked to a conservation officer who had said that they had checked out the populatin back in the spring and they were doing well and brought some up that were 20 inch plus.
