Meldahl and McAlpine dam info

All, I'd like to start fishing either Meldahl or McAlpine from the bank for catfish or hybrid/stripers. Which do you recommend? I'm in Lexington so McAlpine is a little closer but I'd like to get some info from guys who are fishing them. Thanks, Ted

Catfish can certainly be done from the bank with some success. However the stripes and hybrids from the bank if far and few between. You almost have to have a boat to get over to the hydros and the moving water to get those dudes. Or at least this has been my experience.
