McAlpine advice needed

Hello. I am seeking advice on McAlpine and when the fishing is best there. I have fished there many years ago but don't recall when the water is right for bank fishing or wading. I am on vacation this week and would love to take my 10 year old son there so he can experience the same great times I've had there. Any advice?

IF YOU ARE FISHING FROM THE BANK, FROM MY EXPERIENCE, WE HAVE CAUGHT A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING THERE. MOSTLY USING WHITE AND CHARTRUSE 3 INCH CURLY TAILS WITH A 1/8 OR 1/4 OUNCE JIG HEADS.FOR THE BEST RESULTS I WOULD JUST THROW OUT IN THE CURRENT AND AND REEL IT BACK IN BUT KEEP IT MOVING SO IT WONT HANG UP ON THE ROCKS. I HAVE SEEN ALL KINDS OF FISH CAUGHT USING THIS METHOD FROM STRIPERS TO GARR. HUNDREDS OF FISHA DAY MOST OF THEM ARE SMALLER BUT IT IS FUN CATCHING ALL OF THOSE FISH. GOOD LUCK

It's probably best to fish elswhere this week. The river is quite high right now and it probably won't be right again for another week or so. Good luck. You really need to pick your days carefully at McAlpine.
