Where to go for some bluegill action?

My father-in-law bought a new bass tracker 170 and he wants me to go fishing with him on wednesday. Where would be a good place for some gill fishing. Are they hitting the fly rod good yet? I just want him to have a good time, any info would be appreciated.

Go to Herrington and fish the banks, especially the ones with tree cover.
