I just had to tell someone. 5 months and 60 pounds later, I am finally shipping to Basic Combat Training at Ft. Jackson, SC. I leave tomorrow. You guys helped me a lot with fishing and I thank you all for it. Wish me luck!

I went through basic in 1992 in Fort Jackson. I know things have changed a lot since I went through but it will still be tough and it will definitely be hot. Watch out for scorpions and fire ants.

I spent a little time at Ft Jackson. You will see alot of sand and pine trees.Good Luck you guys are our HERO'S.Keep in touch with the board and you will have alot of fishing trips,but the speical ones will be with grandpa.
