I have fished the canal with good results but the fish are mostly in the 2-3 pound range. Looking for bigger cats. Are there any similar rocky banks in the rivers downstream below the dams? I know the fast water near the dams is good depending on which turbines are running, but you can't hold a bobber and the snags are bad for bottom fishing. Thanks in advance for any help.

Try slow rolling a spinnerbait along the bottom, caught 2 at Barren River over the weekend doing this. Maybe if I used chicken livers or blood bait I would have caught more Bucketmouths.
