I have never used them before. What conditions do you use them. What weather/season is best. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

lipless crankbaits are usually used in shallow water or around shallow to mid depth vegitation. they are a good bait for many times during the year but most effective during spring and fall.
Great search bait. Also try working them like a soft jerk bait. Early in the a.m. and when bass are busting schools.
THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO EVERYONE.
Soon as the water hits 50 degrees in the spring chunk a rattletrap. It will work year round, but when the water first hits 50 they're the deadliest on bass. I've caught hybrids, whites, black bass, and even a flathead cat or 2 on traps.
There are a lot of lipless crankbaits out there and I'm sure they'll all catch fish. However, IMO, the Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap catches them the best! Chrome/blue back or chrome/balck back are tough to beat year 'round.

He's dead on, and another tip is,'' The wind is your friend''. Find those wind blown points or especially flats and hold on to your rod tight you may loose it, they will smack the tar out of that thing in the right conditions.
