Fished hard yesterday and caught alot of bass, unfortunately though it was alot of dinks. Early morning put in at Wax, motor to bridge, bass are busting shad all over the surface. I throw buzzbait, sammy, pop-r, fluke, not even so much as a wiff. Talked to an older fellow coming up the bank, and he said same thing, couldn't make one bite a surface bait. Go figure, they are obviously busting shad all around us and no surface bait will get bit. He said he had caught a couple of shorties on a crankbait. Went to Dog creek and got on one bank that I starting getting alot of bites and catches on black and blue jig. Best ones were a 14 inch, a couple of 13 inchers and the rest smaller largemouth and spots. Had one long distance release on a tail walk on top of a solid 2 to 2/12 pounder. Lake was stained to muddy in spots and semi-clear in others depending on where you were. Debris demanded respect early in the morning and become pushed to shore by mid day. Which brings me to my next subject. That lake on a doggone Tuesday was crawling with people. Pleasure boaters, waverunners, cruisers, I bet I saw a hundred different boats yesterday. If it's like this on a Tuesday I don't even want to think about what that place looks like on the weekend. That lake in my opinion is becoming Taylorsville part two the sequel. Too much traffic and too much pressure I won't be back for quite awhile. Had the same freaking moron almost bounce me out of the boat twice in thirty minutes. Anyway there's my sorry report, for what it's worth.
