I want to contratulate Suzukiman (a regular poster on the KY board) on his fisrt place finish in the American Bass Anglers Music City Division trournament. This win also puts him in FIRST PLACE in the National ABA. Below is part of an annoucement of the trounament:

For release 4 June 2006

First, I wish to extend my thanks to the twenty Three anglers that came out this weekend and competed in Music City’s championship.
Gary Martin of Elizabethtown KY took First Place at the end of the weekend with a total weight of 13.54 pounds. Anglers faced clear blue sky’s with temperatures in the mid to high 80’s. Lake temperatures ranged in the high 70’s to low 80’s depending on what part of the lake you fished. Gary made a come back on day 2 of the tournament by concentrate on just one point with in sight of the ramp using crankbaits and Carolina rig.
George Smith of Paris TN, took second with a total weight of 13.30 pounds, everyone needs to keep George in mind for next two months…he fished with a bad knee that has to have surgery next week. Donald Griggs of Smyrna TN, had big largemouth of the tournament coming in at 5.49 pounds. Gary Martin claimed a very close race in the District Points Champion with a total of 1190 followed by Mark Pack with 1170. Here is a run down of the top five anglers of the day:

1st Place, Gary Martin, Elizabethtown KY, 5 fish with a total weight of 13.54 pounds
2nd Place, George Smith, Paris TN, 7 fish with a total weight of 13.30 pounds
3rd Place, Bobby Preston, Mt Juliet TN, 5 fish weighting in at 12.15 pounds
4th Place, Chris Martin, Elizabethtown KY, 4 fish with a total weight of 10.48 pounds
5th Place, Danny Sutton, Franklin TN, 5 fish weighting in at 10.39 pounds
Big Largemouth (Day 2) weighted in at 5.49 pounds caught by Donald Griggs
Big Largemouth (Day 1) weighted in at 4.03 pounds caught by James Lorance
Big Smallmouth weighted in at 1.61 pounds caught by Mark Pack

This draws to a close the 2006 Music City Season…we’ll be back on the waters of Percy Priest on 16 Sept 2006 to kick off the 2007 season. Special thanks to Joe Haubenrich, President of Secret Weapon Lures for coming out to the final weight in of the 2006 Season.
