had a great day on the ohio river yesterday in our club tourney. my partner and i had 9 keepers with the biggest being a 3lb. 12oz. monster smallie on a buzzbait. it was a beautiful fish. it absolutely destroyed the buzz. it was awesome. we had almost 13 lbs total weight in the boat. took home 1st place and lunker. this is one of thte best days i have had on the greenup pool. the smallie bite is really getting a lot better down here. the river is coming back strong after several bad years. 7 of our keeps were smallies. all fish came on a pop r and buzzbait.

When you know you can catch fish, and you thinking you will and don't. Gets you mind wondering what your doing wrong. Then when you go and have a GREAT day it just makes you feel good.

I fish it alot to wormy, and love that sound when they pull it in. Them brown bass are the greastest bass that swims, it makes them dang old green fish pale in comparison. Like comparing Eva Longoria to Rosie Odonald.
at least eva likes men :) thanks for all the praise guys! i needed a shot of confidence with the year i have been having so far!
Way to go Bigwormy. The river is much improved this year. The three to four hour Wednesday evening tourny out of the Little Sandy has been weighing in pretty good. Where did you guys put in, Ashland? Did you run up river?
yes, the tourney was put in at ashland. we didn't catch them down that way. what time do those wednsday evening tourneys start and finish?
5:00 pm till 9:00 while there's daylight, then 8:30, then 8:00.
Then it's time to deer hunt. **** the bad luck!
$10 per person (buddy tx) $5 for big fish. One 5 fish limit.
thank you. hopefully i can make it there for a couple. i usually work wednesday evenings.
