Anyone doe any fishing on the green river near Mammoth cave?

I am planning an overnight canoe trip on the green river near mammoth cave. I haven't fished this area before and am looking for any advice on tackle. Also looking for info regarding what to expect on the green? Is it shallow, deep, narrow, steep slopes, ect? Any info given is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I went last week,Put in near 31-e bridge and went to 31-w bridge at Munfordville.Caught some bass, bluegill,and a 10 lb drum! Anywhere near the park watch for rattlers they are everywhere
throw a gold #5 shadrap!

I'm planning on camping overnight on the banks of the river. When you say rattlers are everywhere do you mean you really saw them alot? Any other snakes? Where did you see them at? Thanks for the info!
