Battle in the Bluegrass
Kentucky State Collegiate Angling Championship
The Battle in the Bluegrass, Kentucky’s first ever state collegiate bass angling championship, will be held Sunday, June 25th, on Barren River Lake. Universities throughout the state of Kentucky will be sending two-man teams to represent their school in this event. The tournament is being hosted by the University of Louisville’s L-Raisin’ Anglers and will be held in conjunction with the Kentucky Bass Federation event. The entry fee is $30 per team to cover the cost of trophies and for a winner take-all first place pot. Bass Pro Shops has provided the main trophy, a super-sized fishing lure that bears the tournament’s name and is to be passed along at the tournament for years to come.
Take-off for the tournament will be at 6:00 a.m. EST and the weigh-in will be at 3:00 p.m. EST. For more information contact the University of Louisville’s tournament director Eric Hickman at (502) 445-8809 or the club president Scott Brown at (270) 703-4639 and via email at [email protected].
