Does Cavitron still make the ones with the clacker?
If anyone's got any I'd be willing to purchase.
I haven't found any Buzzbait that will out perform a High Rider Double Bladed Buzzbait. This particular Buzzbait has two small pieces of Foam built onto the wires to help it stay on top of the water easier...You can reel this Buzzbait as slow as you want or as fast as you like...Just hang on...Bass love them....
Bassbest mentioned crimping the blades where they meet the shaft...just curious as to what that does for you?
I've always been under the impression that slower is better when it comes to buzzbaits, of course there are always exceptions to the rule, but most of the time when ever I've fished with buzzbaits I've always slowed down the retrieve....my rule of thumb is to bring it only fast/slow enough to make the blades turn...
You may even try bumping it into standing timber and letting it fall for a second or two before you start cranking again, I was with a guy that landed a nice largemouth one time by doing this...right before his cast he told me: "Watch this, I saw this on Bill Dance...then BAM!!! He was surprised indeed.
Linestretchers have come on strong on barren this year. Ranger Bob has sold a bunch of them.
