[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON Jun-18-06 AT 06:31PM (EST)[/font][p]Great Father's Day, My 11 year old son wanted to go canoeing on the Elkhorn Sunday. We floated 6 miles in about 6 hours. Sometimes stopping to wade. We caught a bunch of smallies. We caught 10 around 10-12 inches. Finally aound 2:30 my son said he was hung up, then he wasn't it was a big smallie, After a 20 minute fight on a micro-ultralight, Another caneoist netted her.. By then there was around 10 canoe's was watching the fight. When he got the fish in the canoe he smiled big, the other canoeist all clapped. The other fisherman said she was around 2lbs. The fellow who netted him also took a picture, promised to send us a copy.He kissed the fish and sent her back home. What a FATHER'S DAY present.We caught all the fish on a small brown black specked curly tail grubs. We realeased all the fish.
