Good fishfinder?

Well my lowrance lms 350 gps just bit the dust so I'm looking for the best fishfinder under $500. I was thinking about not getting the Gps since I'm not smart enough to use one. Seriuosly I haven't used it 10 times in 5 years so whats the point. If anybody has any suggestions of a good plain depthfinder let me know.
