With all the issues concerning stripers on Cumberland how about stocking them in another lake? Laurel would be perfect. Deep cool water with lots of Shad. Has never had the problems that have plagued both Cumberland and norris over the years with 02 and temperature. Would be a boom for the local economy. Bass fisherman probably wouldn't like it but the striper effects on bass are highly exaggerated. Plenty of shad to go around.
Trout excuse not a good one either. The fish hatchery is likely closing and people don't fish for them on laurel like they used to.
