I was only guessing at what "effects" were being referred to .... I really don't know, nor have I experienced that effect, either. But then, I've only used the "regular" type of blacklights.
Maybe you haven't either, because you ARE using 2 of them ... and the cross coverage/overlapping area of the lights, is keeping the "strobing" effect from happening.
Even so, and with only one of those lights on, it would seem to me that you would only experience the strobing effect, if you were fishing right over top of the light. I could be wrong ... but, it would seem to be the only way that a "dead spot" would affect the fluorescing of the line. (if that is what is occuring, and what "Spotboy" was referring to) He did say something about moving the rod side to side (I assume thru the light of the unit) ... so maybe he had his rod close to the unit (where the V of the light output is smallest) ?? ..... cp

That is the light show that I am talking about. Crappie Pappy the next time you fish make a cast and hold your rod down in front of the light , move your rod from left to right (or right to left ) and watch the effect It is sort of neat for a minute or two then it is very distracting. But if you hold your rod in the same spot as you work your bait you won't see this,

    RE: MoonLite LED Blacklights???

We only added the second light recently... First couple of trips were with only the one and I dont recall any strobing affect...

We added the second light so that if we ended up fishing in two different directions... One thing about these lights is that there is very little 'side' coverage... the lights cover where you point them.

I guess if you were fishing vertically, right in front of the light, there could be some... sounds like an experiment about to happen!
