The light is smaller, more rugged, with a better cord and its waterproof. They have a cordless one also if you have the old sloan jacks. One light is fine for two guys to fish from while the Moonlite isn't unless you stay close together. It's $100 more but definatly worth it.
I have 2 full moonlites corless models and love them I like the nucli-eye but 250 dollars to see my line can,t do it now if there cheaper nucli-atom were cordless they would have a winner.

I've got one full moon, and its great. I will be getting another. If my boat was not 20 years old I would be getting the black light system that goes in the rub rail, it looks like a neat system.

For those folks who have contacted me offering advise. Thanks, but this was an old post from 2006, lol. I have two Moonlite LED Blacklights and I like em just fine. Thanks!

I thought there for a minute someone had taken over my account, because I have not posted anything in a while. Everything seems to be fine. Thanks!

I have two nuclei atoms, they are the same as the nuclei extreems without the blue diodes. I special ordered them with a 6" cord and 90 degree rca jack. They work perfectly with one on each side of my ZX 202 Skeeter. $149 each. I haven't seen another led put out more light.
