I know Fishing Hotspots Elite doesn't have different colors for elevations. Its just like the 'paper' map but on you GPS.

I am buying a Lowrance 3600C GPS unit and need help picking the lake software package to buy. I have seen Navionics ($199), Fishing Hotspots Elite ($99) and Nautic Path ($125). Which would you recommend?
Would like the mapping system to show the difference lake levels and contours in different colors.....

I have the hotpspots maps and it was very accurate on Rainy Lake. rock piles and danger areas were marked well. It was an excellent navigation assistant. I have no experience with the other map products. My experiene is that the GPS maps are essential when fishing unfamiliar water. I spent about $100 for the software as compared to $400+ for a prop or lower unit!!!!!
Can you possibly tell me what portion of Kentucky/Barkley lakes are shown on your mapping software? I fish the Tennessee end of both lakes and just bought a 334c unit. Been wanting to get some mapping software but have heard that they only show the Kentucky end of the lakes in question?
try the navionics maps they show great detail and will cover all of ky lake.
