They plead innocent!
Now that's just funny right there now.

Even though they plead innocent this will never go to trial.
Maybe they are stalling in order to work out a plea agreement or maybe they have exculpatory evidence, obviously they are innocent until judged guilty by the court.
EVEN THOUGH I DONT FISH TOURNAMENTS AND THEESE GUYS WILL MORE THAN LIKELY NOT FACE ANY SERIOUS LEGAL TROUBLE, I HOPE THEY DONT GET THEIR EQUIPMENT BACK AND THEY WILL HAVE THIS MARK ON THERE REPUTATION FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. IN MY OPINION IT REFLECTS BADLY ON THE SORT OF FISHING AND MAKES US ALL SUFFER
The paper said that A fish and wildlife officer claims he found and marked the fish which the men switched before weigh-in. What does that mean. Did they switch the fish they weighed in..
maybe thats the problem. But thats not what was wrote in the first story. Hope they get everything they deserve...
What excatly went on here?

A couple of guys were caught cheating in a tournament on Lake Barkley by weighing in a few fish they had placed in a basket and tied to someone's dock on Lake Barkley. Law enforcement marked the fish and took pictures. When the fish were weighed in, the two were arrested and their property (boat, fishing equipment) seized. They are currently in the court system.
There used to be a story about it on the Paducah Sun's website.

From what I've read so far the authorities got them red-handed on the one tournament, but how in the world are they going to prove they cheated in the others? I mean, it's odd they all of a sudden a couple guys come out of nowhere and start winning big but that's circumstantial. If these guys were willing to cheat in the tournament they got caught in do you think they will answer honestly on the witness stand when asked, "Hey, by the way, did you cheat in the other tournaments?"
